Report 22. Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Day 2 at Intervales State Park.

Red-ruffed Fruitcrow. Fabulous ruff.

Brazilian Tanager.

Another Crab-eating Fox, according to Kevin. {Bob said they eat crabs in the wet seasons on the mudflats.}At right, a nice Chestnut-crowned Becard.

Shear-tailed Gray-Tyrant. Yellow-fronted Woodpecker on a flat feeder.

Last looks at the Yellow-fronted.

Pavonine Cuckoo. An easy bird to hear, tough to see.Wonderful call. Kevin did really good to get us on this bird.

Last Pavonine shot. Poor closeup of an Amethyst Woodstar, blocked by a flower.

Three last Amethyst shots. Angle not good enough to show the marvelous amethyst-colored throat.. {One of the rare hummingbirds at this location. He would come to these purple flowers to feed and it would sound like a bumblebee when he flew in. I saw it a couple of times before Bob could get it and get these pictures.}

Have a good one,
