Report 8. Day 8.  Saturday, October 5, 2013. TGIF. Pendik Lunch, Shopping

We get out late, and window shop a bi in older Pendikt, then have lunch in a small cafe. After that, we're on the street again, where we pass a xxx shop. This man is rolling out the dough. {People will buy this thin dough and layer it to make the burek filled with various fillings.}He is skilled at his job. He rolls out the dough until it's very thin, and the same size as the stack on the black circle at lower left. Then he rolls it up on his magic wand, and unrolls it on the existing stack. The stack sits on a burner actually, and when he puts a new circle on the stack, he flips the entire stack over to heat the new bit. Fun to watch.

Next we go searching for Christmas gifts for various people. I can say no more. At right, Tara stops at a window to admire handmade bags, I think.

Sharon is shopping for yarn, and we find a huge, spectacular store which sells yarn, ribbon, buttons and just about anything you can think of in the sewing/knitting world. Great colors.

That's it for the excitment for today. We're on an Easy Day-Big Day duality, and today was an easy day, as you see from the paltry length of this report. Short on words, long on color.

Cheers,
Bob
