Report 15. Day 15.  Saturday, October 12, 2013. Rest and Recovery Day. Cihan readies for Florence.

I got a decent night's sleep, and Cihan got a bit, having come home earlier, but I'm guessing Tara and Sharon have been up almost all night.

Cihan comes in from their bedroom to tell me he just got an update. Sharon had another atmospheric rise in pain, and they gave her morphine for that. She was able to sleep some. {I talked about this in the last report.}

Later, I call Tara, and she says they are just getting ready to pay the bill. She says it's $13,000. I say, and I quote, "Wait. What?" She laughs and says it's 600 Lira -- about $300. Later I learn that Sharon told her to say that first number. Good one, Sharon.

So nothing much for the rest of this day, except, here's the only photo I took all day. That's a million dollar smile from a person who God decided was strong enough to handle 13-on-a-ten-point-scale pain, and who is now pain free. {I felt very tired and "spacey" not sure if that is leftover from the IV pain medication or some new medication that I am supposed to take to "help the stone pass" Huh? Isn't that what just happened in the hospital? I guess from the information I get on the Internet, these medications are smooth muscle relaxers that are to ensure that the ureters stay open and I am to drink lots of fluids to make sure everything is flowing well. My left kidney was swollen from the blockage and they want it to drain well. (Probably more about my insides than you ever wanted to know) But the new medicine makes me feel dizzy. Good thing I'm lying down.}

Sup? (Good night, granddaughter Mikayla)
