Report 16. Day 16.  Sunday, October 13, 2013. Exit son-in-law Cihan. Enter Tara's cousin Rachel.

So, as requested, a taxi picked Cihan up in front of the apartment, and took him to the local airport (Sabiha Gökçen), where he caught a bus to Taksim, then a connecting bus from there directly to the European side airport -- the main one. There is a trend of us remaining characters to rest. Which we do.

Tara is in contact with Rachel by smart phone, and a few minutes before Rachel is scheduled to arrive by the exact reverse of what Cihan did earlier, Tara drives to the local airport, where they connect, and come back home.

Rachel is excited but tired, and we let her sleep till dinnertime or so.

I go out on the patio to watch the sunset and get these photos. At left is a jet contrail, and in the next two photos, the position of the sunset tonight.

There is a steady stream of jets coming in day and evening, most of them Pegasus, with fly.pgs.com in big letters where I would expect to see "Pegasus."

Tara takes us out to eat at a municipal-run restaurant, where a white cat jumps up on our window sill. Sharon moves her finger to see if the cat will respond, and you know cats. He takes his sweet time, and then after an acceptable time, he turns and looks in.

After dinner, we go for a walk along the shore. The left photo is of one of the Princes Islands under the moon. It's a beautiful night. To the right is a three legged tire-swing. Only it's much bigger and substantial than a tire. Four people can sit on it comfortably. Then some poor ground-based person gets to give them a push out, out, out and then strongly to the left or right, so they swing in a circle.

We're excited because tomorrow is Istanbul......all......day......long. {I feel good because although I'm still a little weak, I tolerate the walk along the water well so that I think I will be OK for tomorrow with our trip to "old" Istanbul, because you know, we are in Istanbul here on the Eastern or Aisian side too.}

Neow (How Japanese cats say meow, which sometimes means good night)
