Report 27. Day 27. Sat, May 31. Free Day in Anchorage. Very short report. No photos.

We set the alarm for 5:00, but it is pouring down rain when it goes off, and we gratefully, I will say, go back to sleep. I finish off a report and we decide to go to a movie. Seth MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West". Pretty funny, and a relaxing change from the go go pace we've been doing.

Reminded of the signs "Don't Mess with Texas" in that state, Sharon notices a sign that says "Don't Trash Alaska."

Sharon has made an appointment to get her nails done, and I drop her off, then do a little shopping, returning to pick her up. She's not quite done and I go into the nail salon, and HOLY CRAP, I can't believe that the government allows this place to exist. The fumes are like putting a gas mask on, and attaching it to a can of paint thinner. I estimate the level of oxygen at 5%. I don't see how Sharon can put up with this. She says that during her two hours, at lest one girl had to take a break from the fumes and get fresh air.

Driving home we pass Moose's Tooth Pizza restaurant, and we coin the phrase, pizza you can sink your tooth into.

As we make the right turn from DeBarr onto Hoyt, I notice the car wash on the left that says, Grime Fighters Car Wash.

A very easy day.

Cheers,
Bob and Sharon
