Report 35. Day 35. Sun, June 8. Bing's Landing to Anchorage.

We take off at 4 am, hoping for bears, because we are certainly warned to be aware of the bear. {We are on a 20 miles gravel road around Skilak Lake early in the morning hoping to see some animals,}

About six thirty a tiny four legged creature goes running across the road in front of us. We make a guess at vole.

We pull into a parking lot, and encounter a super casual coffee wagon. Can't remember why we pulled in though.

Jerry, from Bob's backseat vantage point.

Lots and lots of stormy, mountain shots.

Bald eagles in the Turnagain Arm sands at low tides. We stop at the place we call Beluga Point, though it is actually Bird Point. Shirley faces down a Beluga. {The Beluga are supposed to follow the tide into the Trunagain Arm following the smelt for food but we never see them.}

We race a train, normally going faster than it, but sometimes we stop for a photo, and it passes us again, at which time, here we come again.

We check into the familiar Golden Nuggget RV Park in Anchorage again, then we go downtown to Ship Creek, to see if anybody is catching salmon. No luck while we watch.

Sharon and I shop the local Walmart, then have lunch at the inside McDonalds.

That's it for today, a pretty quiet day.

Good night all,
Bob and Sharon
