Day 13. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Fifth Full Day Fishing Pipestone Lake. An Average Day Fishing is Better Than a Poke in the Eye. Wait, How's That Go?

As you will read in tomorrow's report, I lost the text for this day. Here are a few shots that didn't suffer the same problem.

Jerry and I go out before breakfast, as usual. That's him fishing from the front of the boat. The sunrise was pretty cool, as was the temperature.

Jerry catches a nice Northern Pike, or as he would say, a 'Northern.' At right below is a map which Jerry carefully used to make an outline of Pipestone Lake some years ago. You can see the lake has fingers all over the place. Also, he has filled it with a light yellow color.

After breakfast, we all sit around telling lies about the fish we almost caught.

Here's Shirley listening for moose hoofbeats, though she might try to tell you otherwise. {She is actually petting Josie, Art and Jennie's Corgie dog who is hoping we drop soem food for her to eat. Jennie thinks she's too fat so we don't but hope springs eternal.}

Sharon has so many layers of clothing that she 'can't put her arms down.' {We are preparing to go out and fish in the rain! Such dedication.}At right, she has talked the lodge owner out of the old canoe paddle that he used to stir the fire {yea}

And here, you can see Sharon and Tane in the standard pose one uses to show your fish. {Two Northerns here. It's pretty exciting catching these fish because they are bigger than the bass and fight pretty good. Everytime I think I might not be able to get the fish to the boat, and when the fish sees the boat, they fight harder and try to swim down and away.}

That's it for the day. Tomorrow's events may be memorable. Stay tuned.
